Frequently asked questions

How strong is Ergolash?
And is it strong enough?

The short answer to whether Ergolash is strong enough is YES!
The lashing straps from Ergolash follows the standards in the lashing industry and furthermore the lashing straps are approved by TÜV GS. TÜV is a German recognised certification, who tests many different products mainly within the car industry, but lashing straps too.

This certification means that it is not just us, representing the lashing straps that guarantee the strength of the lashing strap but also an independent company, with competences within the car industry.

What is the difference between Ergolash and conventional lashing straps?

The main difference is the half-open ratchet shaft which ensures a faster and easier use of lashing straps.
When buying lashing straps from Ergolash you buy a product in a high quality, and with focus on every single detail of the lashing straps and ratchet shafts. For example, we have added plastic to the ratchet shaft, which makes the lashing straps from Ergolash more comfortable to use.

Ergolash is too expensive

It depends on how you value products. Ergolash is a lashing strap in a high quality, and compared to quality products the difference is not that big.

If you compare Ergolash lashing straps with cheaper models of lashing straps, Ergolash will appear more expensive. But if you compare the time loading and unloading with conventional lashing straps with Ergolash, you will find that Ergolash is more effectively and you can save a lot of time, especially if you are loading and unloading with ratchets many times in a day.

Do you compare the price to how much time you use, using the lashing straps to secure your cargo. Our calculations have shown that if you use lashing straps 13 times or more, you will save valuable time lashing your cargo with Ergolash.

Why is the lashing strap only in a 10 meter version?

The reason we don't offer a big variation in the length of the webbing is that with Ergolash® ratchet you don't need to pull the entire webbing through the ratchet. This means that the length of the webbing is not an issue as it can be on the conventional lashing straps.

According to known needs of the lengths we thought that a 10 meter lashing strap would fit most needs when lashing - the 10 meter version lashing strap.
The 10 meter, 50mm lashing strap is our best-seller, and called PRO E100 (100 stands for 10 meters) but you will find different sizes available of the PRO-model here, for example the 8 meter version.

We are continuously expanding our product range, and some of our models are available in different sizes. Take look on the different products versions, and here you can see the sizes available.

Ergolash does not have the size I need

At the moment we have a bigger variation of lashing straps.

We started with the 50 mm lashing strap, which we have in two types. the 5 ton and the 4 ton. The length of the webbing is not an issue as you don't need to pull the entire webbing through the ratchet, like you need to do on the traditional ratchets. As long as the webbing is long enough for the task, the leftover/ not used webbing you can easily put it away for example with a clip from Dynello.
These models is available in 8 and 10 meters.

And our popular BUDDY-model, the 25 mm lashing straps are available in 4 meters.
The other 25 mm called ROADY is available in 4 and 6 meters.

The newest model MATTY, the 35 mm wide lashing straps are available in 6 meter version.

Were can I buy Ergolash lashing straps?

You can easily buy the lashing straps from our webshop.

Or you can find our resellers on our reseller page, which we are continuously expanding as we get a bigger network of resellers.

The webbing "runs" out of the side of the ratchet when you try to tighten it

Sometimes it is difficult to ensure the lashing whiteout the webbing trying to run out of the ratchet. This is a thing we sometimes hear from the users of the small lashing strap called BUDDY.
It can help to hold the ratchet at an angle, upwards, so the webbing has a harder time "escaping" from the ratchet as you tighten the lashing strap in the ratchet.

We recommend you have a look though some of our videos on how to use the lashing straps, for example this video on how to use the Ergolash.
